Setting up FAQs
YES! While not listed outright, it's worth a text or email to us if evening hours are ABSOLUTELY needed. I have outside commitments that prevent me from having consistent evening hours but I do have some availability if I'm notified in advance & am able to work it out. Fridays and Saturdays have the highest chances but SEND ME A MESSAGE - the worst I could say is that I'm not able to that day & we can work something out in the future! I love helping out so don't feel you're intruding by just inquiring!
A lot! WAXING - although brazilian waxing (waxing of the genitals / intimate waxing) is not offered at this time, we do offer ears, nose, chest, back, necks, stomachs, eyebrows & any other area. FACIALS - if you've had consistent ingrown hairs, acne, rough texture, excessive exposure to sun, dryness or just want to look GOOD - why not take care of yourself? You wouldn't believe how many of your friends are secretly partaking in self-care but refusing to talk about it. You get a great deep cleanse, extraction of any pimples, improvement of skin conditions, calm vibes and a dark room to mentally check out, gentle heat & cold, a killer neck/shoulder/hand/arm massage (or not if that's sounds like an awkward nightmare) & you leave with skin you feel amazing in as well as genuine downtime and a game plan.BACK/CHEST SKINCARE - do you get a lot of body breakouts? Have scarring from previous breakouts? You can get treatments on these areas & guidance on how to stop them in the future. You CAN have confidence showing your body if you put in the work!EYEBROW CARE - this can go beyond just getting rid of hair. Do you have extremely light-colored eyebrows that look non-existent? Tinting for brows can truly help (yes, I have subtle colors that even compliment blond and red hair). Or maybe you have some WILD & unruly brows that never look good or always seem to be all over the place - there's a pro treatment to relax the hair chemically so you can finally dominate them or maybe a skilled trim is needed! I've got you!MAKEUP - ok, don't knock this one because I've noticed a subtle trend - some male-identifying folks are not afraid to delve into this realm & I love it. This could mean learning how to cover acne or scarring, learning how to do undetectable makeup for a photoshoot (headshots for work, wedding day etc), gender-affirming care orrr - preparing for battle (look up Hwarang or "flower boys" - warriors that donned makeup & took the prep as a moment of calm before the chaos - a sign that strength & refinement can coexist within one person).Just ask, I don't bite!
I have multiple ways - my website has a "BOOK NOW" option in several places including the Home Page just under the intro title or under the Services tab. Once you click on desired service just be sure to scroll to the bottom page & look for a Continue or Book button to carry through to the end. I'm currently working on the site to make it as seamless & simple as possible - bare with me while I work out the kinks (and feel free to tell me exactly where the frustrating parts are because I'd love to correct them if I'm able). If all else fails & you feels like you want to throw your phone/tablet out the window, DON'T & just send me an email (freshfacialsandwaxing@gmail.com) or TEXT (860-744-4880) - I will get back to you as soon as I'm out of my appointments & able to devote my attention to you. Please understand I'm just a one-woman admin show & I do my best!
All services offered can be found under the Services tab on my website (press the 3 horizontal lines at the top corner - most likely on top right side. This will bring up a small category menu).I DO offer:Facials using pro-grade Korean skincare (along with a line from Spain & a US based Oncology brand) - Peels and Resurfacing, deep hydration, acne care, rosacea protocols, anti-aging, post-sun careWaxing - full body including brazilian waxing (female anatomy and GAC), face & brows. I have both hard and soft wax for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic formula. I'm not in the business to get you out asap & see the next person - I'm here to give quality results & collaborate on what suits you best.Pro-Korean Skincare Products - I carry a moderate stock of south Korean skincare that truly treats the skin barrier and protects from future damage. I have access to several lines vetted by myself and experienced estheticians around the globe.Lash Lift & Tint - Korean lash lifts, gentle traditional lash lift & multiple lift styles that last several weeks. (A lash lift is basically a perm for your lashes that curls them upwards to give you a lift. It last approx 8 weeks, tint last up to 4 weeks typically depending on skincare and care)Eyebrow Lamination & Tinting - another gentle lamination brand respected globally. Lamination is a perm that relaxes brow hairs to make styling MUCH easier day-to-day - suited best for those with very coarse or curly brows as well as those of us who decided to overpluck in our youth and now have tiny slits for brows. Lamination can be used to tame unruly brows or help coax them into a fuller-brow look so you can trick your enemies. Still requires some daily effort but I can teach you that (and it's EASY, I promise)Body Treatments - post-brazilian-wax ingrown hair prevention treatment, acne chest & back treatments, bum-acne treatments - believe it or not, that's all integumentary (skin) & my specialty! No need to feel self-conscious about it - that CT humidity will get to you & bring out the worst our skin has to offer at times. It's all treatable & we're all human so let's figure this out.Makeup - I do BRIDAL makeup, Prom, Special Occasion, Photography / Headshots makeup. I tend to favor very clean, natural & neutral soft glam but I love color and am not afraid to do winged liner or gemstones when time and creativity allows. I listen and collaborate well - I love and appreciate honesty so adjustments are no problem & time will be taken. It's important to feel heard & seen when you are having a big, stressful day.Makeup bag & skincare product cleanouts - it truly forces you to go through your products REALISTICALLY - I'll let you know when something is truly expired & unsafe, I'll let you know what's completely outdated or unflattering & give updates and alternatives, I'll discard it if it's hard for you to get rid of things. Let's let go of hoarding and over-consumption. Start with a clean slate!I do NOT offer:Dermaplaning (nursing license needed in CT)Microneedling (nursing license needed in CT)Men's brazilian waxing (non-GAC)Lash Extensions (I have the license but I do not do them. I have a few great recommendations thought!)Body Scrubs with Shower (I do not have a shower in my facility, one day I'm sure I will). Spot areas can be treated but a full body scrub is not a possibility at this time.NailsHairFoot CareWAXING GUIDLINES:hair must be approximately the length of a grain of rice to be removed via waxing. Shorter risks a less successful wax with more hair left behind, ingrown hairs & quick regrowth (due to hair growth cycle)days leading up to appt: exfoliate area to be waxed GENTLY with a sugar scrub and/or exfoliating mitt 3x weekly, use conditioner on particularly coarse hair to decrease brittleness, MOISTURIZE
(don't skip this - it's more important than you think) dailyDay-of appt: cleanse the area but avoid moisturizer and deodorant TODAY, wear loose breathable clothing, avoid excessive caffeine and all alcohol, hydrate well.you cannot use Retinol, Tretinoin (ANY retinol adjacent products - even over the counter versions - if you have any doubts inform me of all skincare), AHA, skincare acids in general or any products that are chemically exfoliating or ones that cause thinning skin within 7-10 days (I'd love 14 days the most though) of your wax. Doing so majorly increases the chances of skin injury. Neglecting to inform is not appropriate.risky medications for waxing: antibiotics (possible to wax but can increase sensitivity, bruising, tearing), blood thinners (bruising), steroids (weakens and thins skin over time - can cause lifting of skin during a wax), Accutane (I would honestly recommend NOT waxing on this - can truly change your skin and cause injury. Tweezing is a possibility though!)Days after wax: Avoid swimming for next 48-72hrs (esp in lakes, oceans etc), avoid excessive friction (workouts & intimacy included) 48 hrs, avoid excessive hot humidity - saunas, hot showers. All of these things massively increase your chance of infection and ingrowns. Take cooler showers, switch to a lighter workout with less friction on newly waxed area & treat the first few days like a wound.

I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Feedback is always appreciated. Feel free to drop a suggestion or even a hello! Your opinion matters.
